Election day, 2026-11-03: the official sources, state by state
Pick your state. Each page links to that state's own polling-place lookup, registration check, ID rules, mail and early voting rules, hours and results page. Government sites only; this site restates nothing, so what you read there is what counts.

Three things that are true in every state
- If you are in line when the polls close, stay in line: you are entitled to vote.
- If your name is missing or challenged, ask for a provisional ballot; federal law requires one to be offered.
- Results posted tonight are unofficial. States certify over days to weeks, and the official count is the state's.
Sources: the Help America Vote Act of 2002 (provisional ballots) and every state's own election code (lines at closing). Your state's pages linked above have the specifics.
